Eligibility

Membership is open to all UW Seattle students.

Time Commitment

There are NO weekly meetings! We offer around 4 events per quarter, and those include Q&A panels, Kaplan information sessions, and Mock ER. We also offer leadership opportunities for members throughout the year, such as mentoring, event planning, and more. Becoming an active member will not take away much time from you busy school schedules.

Membership Dues

National dues, to be paid on the AMSA website, go towards supporting AMSA functions (conferences, speakers, partnership discounts), membership materials, and other organization costs. Chapter fees go directly to AMSA UW to support events and RSO logistics, and will be paid via Venmo. If you are facing difficulties in paying the fees, please reach out to us via email (amsauw@uw.edu) or social media and we are happy to help you work something out. You will not be considered an official AMSA member until this fee has been paid.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

1) One-time national fee ($75) + Annual chapter fee ($5)

2) Annual national fee ($35) + Annual chapter fee ($5)

ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT PLAN: We are offering a payment plan that divides the $75 payment into three $25 payments for three consecutive quarters that will be paid to AMSA UW. Once the three installments are paid, as well as the $5 chapter fee, AMSA UW will register the student as a national member. This alternative payment plan will give members access to local chapter benefits (listed below) after the first installment is paid, but the member will be ineligible for national membership benefits until the three payments are made.
